Kim In-Jung

Kim Young-Keun
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to look at the emotional experiences that mothers with emotional trauma from childhood are having now while they raise their children. In-depth interviews with nine women whose first children were preschoolers were performed, and the data was processed, utilizing Giorgi's phenomenological research method. Six components and ten subcomponents were derived as a consequence of the investigation. ¡°Emotions not fully shared with parents," ¡°living with emotions still not understood," ¡°facing confused emotions as a mother," ¡°suppressing negative emotions to avoid confusion," ¡°feeling pain due to emitted anger," and ¡°lust for emotional interaction with close objects" were among the study's findings. The goal of this study is to better understand the meaning of mothers'efforts to overcome challenges in emotional expression when raising children who have experienced emotional trauma. Reinterpreting unfavorable emotional events from the past might be beneficial. Furthermore, based on the findings, it is important to support the mother-child relationship's solid emotional contact and to present an alternate parenting technique.
